Glasson's Art World are proud to have Merrilyn Ward as their in-house tutor, you can also find her works on display in our gallery.

Merrilyn has been trained under a number of tutors, and now finds working on her own allows her the greatest growth, not only in finding her own style, but discovering an excitement for using brilliant colours.

Merrilyn finds real inspiration in the works of Margaret Olley, her approach to florals and interiors, plus her philosophy to "paint for yourself" ring particularly true.

 

 

 

Merrilyn works in many mediums, from her fluid and graceful watercolours, bright and beautiful oils, nature inspired colour ceramics and loose dynamic pastels, one can always find a treasure in Merrilyn's gifted work.

 

 

In Store Workshops

Merrilyn conducts in store Art Creatability workshops every Thursday, 10:00am to 3:30pm, suitable for beginners and those wanting to enhance their skills. A variety of mediums are covered, and costs only $20 for the day.

The students are free to bring along their medium of choice, e.g. watercolour, sketching materials, pastels, acrylics, etc.. It is a fun way to spend the day.

An Art Creatability Oil Painting workshop is held on some tuesdays 9.30am to 1pm. Please make contact to check dates.
