"Dear Robyn,

I would like to thank you for organising the ‘Dookie Art Attack’ for 2009.

As a raw beginner, I immersed myself for 3 days into the world of watercolour at the “Dookie Art Attack” workshop.

My tutor understood the needs and fears of a person feeling out of depth, but I soon found that with encouragement, I could draw and paint; not as well as some, but I could see, through the work of others, the goals to aim for.

It was a big step for me, and one I’m glad I took, as I found many new friends that I hope to keep in touch with, and enjoyed being part of a unique group of people that after a couple of days, felt like family.

The Dookie College campus is a fantastic venue for a workshop like this, everything is within easy reach and the accommodation is very comfortable. Not to mention the art supplies on campus, for that extra brush or tube of paint that you just have to have.

I hope you will have me back, so I can be a part of next year’s 'Dookie Art Attack'.
